Snowbird/Alta, Utah

March 14 - 21, 2009. It snowed three days before we arrived, then didn't snow again until the day after we left. But it had snowed about 30 feet this winter before we got there, so there was no lack of snow, and the spring conditions were great.

Lots of black and double-black terrain on both mountains. While having lunch one day, we overheard one anonymous teenager give the best capsule summary of skiing at Snowbird: "You know, man, Snowbird's really harsh if you suck."

Fortunately, none of us "sucked."
